We offer regular 2-hour Pottery Wheel Taster classes—perfect for beginners wanting to try their hand at the wheel. In this fun, hands-on session, you’ll get messy while creating 2-4 pieces that we’ll trim, glaze, and fire for you to take home.
For those ready to dive deeper, our 4-week Learn to Throw course covers all the essentials of wheel throwing. Under the guidance of our expert instructor, Maggie, you'll master everything from preparing the clay to centring, pulling up walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing your creations. This course also includes free access to our Open Studio sessions and recycled clay, so you can practice your skills throughout the course.

CLAY CLUB'S
AND OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS.
At Samford Potters Collective, we’re dedicated to providing a creative and collaborative space for pottery enthusiasts of all levels.
Our popular Clay Club sessions run weekly on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 10 am - 2 pm, and Saturday mornings from 10 am - 1 pm. These sessions allow members to explore their creativity, working on any pottery projects with the guidance and resources of our experienced instructors, always on hand to offer expert advice.
Our Open Studio Sessions provide a flexible, independent workspace for those with a multi-session card. Held on Thursday nights from 6-9 pm and Sunday afternoons from 3-6 pm, these sessions are relaxed, social, and welcoming to all. Whether you want to share snacks and wine with fellow potters or pop on your headphones and focus, our studio is designed to foster creativity, community, and relaxation.

At Samford Potters Collective, we love sharing our beautiful studio for private parties and corporate events! Our space is ideal for small groups looking for a creative, fun experience.
Gather 4-7 friends or colleagues for a 2-hour Pottery Wheel Taster class, or book a hand-building session for up to 14 guests. With a dedicated tea and coffee station, full-size fridge, microwave, glassware, and air conditioning, our studio is fully equipped to host your event comfortably. We also offer an undercover area perfect for self-catered lunches or dinners.
